Hi there,
yesterday we celebrated Midsummer here in Sweden, it's a big celebration with good friends and food, and if the nature is allow it, to be outdoors. And here is a explanation of Midsummer:

Raising and dancing around a maypole (majstång or midsommarstång) is an activity that attracts families and many others.
Greenery placed over houses and barns were supposed to bring good fortune and health to people and livestock; this old tradition of decorating with greens continues, even though most don't take it seriously. To decorate with greens was called att maja (to may) and may be the origin of the word majstång, maja coming originally from the month May. Other researchers say the term came from
German merchants who raised the maypole in June because the Swedish climate made it impossible to find the necessary greens and flowers in May, and continued to call it a maypole. Today, however, it is most commonly[citation needed] called a "midsommarstång" (literally midsummer pole).

In earlier times, small spires wrapped in greens were erected; this probably predates the maypole tradition, which is believed by many to  have come from the continent in the Middle Ages. Others argue that some form of Midsummer pole occurred in Sweden during the pre-Christian times, and was a phallic fertility symbol, meant to impregnate women.

These are commemorated by many Christian denominations. In Sweden the Midsummer is such an important festivity that there have been serious discussions to make the Midsummer's Eve into the National Day of Sweden, instead of June 6.

My Silhouette Cameo

Hi there,
oh my gosh I have internet for one day, I'm still on holliday and are in Norway for the momenth.

I  miss my Silhouette Cameo a lot, but in the camping car it is not possible to have, so it is back home in Thailand just waiting for me  to coming back and play with it.

This is how I decided to buy a Silhouette Cameo. I started to make cards in january 2014, and
bought all equipments that I have to have. As you know me I love to have some crafting to do, have that all my life.

When we went back to our house in Thailand in october 2014, I couldn't take my bigShot with me so I order the Silhouette Cameo on ebay to Thailand.

Well our first meating was not so good... You know when you got a new toy you are overexcited
and no time to really learn the Silhouette Cameo, well I struggling around for a week then It was put to the stash.

When we moved back to Sweden I decided to really learn my Silhouette Cameo (SC), so google was my first place to looking for some e-classes in the subject, well it was not much there I can say, but I found the "Silhouette School", and that have help me a lot, even if my personal opinion is that the site is a litle bit messy, but that's probably just me.

So now I have also find my online Silhouette classes at "Nikki in Stitches Craft Academy", each month I have several classes to learn my Silhouette cameo, and now I also learned to take it slowely and really learn my SC.

That's my story, maybe you can give me yours....

Birthdaycard for Molly!

Hi there,
today is my granddaughter Mollys 2'nd birthday, Oh she is groving quick, I made a hinge card for her.

I have cut out from white cardstock 20x10,5cm for the front and 21x10,5cm for the back. Score the top on 1 cm on the back pice, fold it and put some doublesided tape on the folded part. Cut a smaller panel of colored cardstock and a even smaller piece of white cardstock, make 2 set of this, one for inside of the card and one for the front. Married the 2 pieces together.
Decorate the front panel as you pleased and glue it on the white front panel. Decorate the inside and remember to make it flat, and glue this on the white back pice. Put the front and the back together and you have a hinge card.
